Gold with distinction. Everyone must be happy now. Even miss lim was so happy. Ok, now to some important stuff. Gold with distinctions in 3rd division is a thing to be happy about, BUT it's only in the 3rd division, do NOT let it get over your head. THINK of how to improve your playing skills even further, how to obtain such results in the 2nd division, and ultimately the 1st division, in SYF, and more stuff you can think of. Remember the things that you have learnt, refine the skills, ultimately not for results, but for the enjoyment.
Quoting what calvin tagged as big as possible as I feel it's very important, "CONGATS GUYS! Your hard work has really paid off. You guys are definatelly heading in the right direction. Please continue to do so. =D One more thing. Getting a gold with distinction doesnt mean u guys are gonna do well for SYF. SYF and NBC are totally different. Take note, u guys were in the 3rd division."
We will be having a concert on the 27th July at Sentosa(the one Mr Ong memtioned), details would be given at a later date, and also, Muster parade for NDP and the evening performance that we always have at the grass patch near to the blocks and shops.
Ben didn't mention this cause i didn't tell him. =x There is a party on next coming friday. Be reminded that there is no band on Wed, and there would be Majulah on monday (Since now you guys gold with distinction for NBC 3rd division, then must play well and show that we really got gold with distinction, not just some random luck.) =D
Money for that concert last time, mus art concert, next friday also. REMEMBER TO BRING IT.
For the Sec3s, remember to complete your nyaa booklet for this and the NBC. Choose ONLY your parts, write it under a new title of :

- Woodwinds, clarity of the running notes to be worked on.
- Trumpets, remember to tongue the notes before bar 3.
- Tubas, balanced and same sound throughout all the notes for this few particular bars.
Remember 2 points:

2. ACCENT AND NOT SCREAM
2 Bars before A
- Clarinets, tongue lightly.
- Trumpets, softly (play into the stand, ONLY FOR THESE NOTES)
Pick up to A
- Clarinets, Legato playing.
- Clarinets, Pickup to be a little stronger than first note on the next bar.
- Clarinets, Phrasing (Crescendo and Decresendo).
- Clarinets, Tune the higher notes, make sure they are in tune.
Pick upto C
- Melody, Tongue with air. Accent.
- Melody, Second and Fourth bar of C, 1st note staccato, 2nd note accent.
4 Bars after C
Remember that it's PIANO.
1 Bar before D
Remember to observe the DYNAMICS.
1 Bar before Trio
- 3rd Trombone, A little flatter G (not too flat).
Trio
- trumpets, shorter quavers.

A few credits : CT and putri, and all the people who went to listen the results. And the people who kept spamming my phone asking me for results. HAHAs. Lastly, which is the most important, atiqa for running after the commendator to check with her again what we got and once she heard that we got 85.6% 2nd top band in 3rd division gold with distinctions, she immediately screamed and ran away. =p
