Next week both me and wen jie would not be around, as we are going for NCO camp. So chun ting and samuel will take charge of the band on the practises next week. Please work hard on ur pieces during sectionals, so that mr ong wont need to go through part by part during full band which is kind of a waste of time. Next band practice is on wednesday, report outside com lab 1 at 8.45am sharp, in your knickers ! There will be no majulah next monday. And submissons for the new design for the band tee is now on! It will be a polo, similar like the current one, but t-shirt material. So submit your designs to Raiyan, Chunting or email at cckwinds@gmail.com by 19th of october. hopefully in time to wear for the genting trip. More details will be given soon. But now is the time to get creative! Submit your designs, although only MINE will be selected. There will be a concert by REPUBLIC poly, the poly, amin and hani is in. But they aren't the ones who are playing. Title of Concert: Symphonie de République II ‘Transition’ Experience a concert of superb proportions as the Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony (Silver Award winner of the Singapore International Band Festival 2008) takes on Tuba Concerto by Edward Gregson, Yasuhide Ito’s ‘Gloriosa’ Symphonic Poem for Band and many others with unabashed lyricism and emotional candour. Be charmed by RPWS’ young Concert Masters as they reveal their virtuosity of conducting famous melodies of Gustav Holsts’s Second Suite in F. An exciting performance not-to-be-missed!
