Yoz ppl!

A few things to address. First, the national anthem tat u played this monday morning. It was really really.........beyond description. All i can say is, open up ur ears n listen. Practice more, n do not have the "it's juz majulah" attitude. Pls treat every national anthem playing session seriously. I do not wan 2 c a repeat of it ever agn, n i noe u too, wouldn't wan to. So lets work hard tgt n get our attitude right. Don let other ppl say tat we r not good or we suck or wadever. i m sure tat u will wan to hear praises.

Nxt, i still wanna emphasize on takin ur sectionals seriously. Ppl, u muz firstly get ur mindset right. I noe everyone of u wanna become good players. So pls practice. U will nvr be able to perfect a piece of music, believe it or not. Even professional players thinks tat they have lots n lots of room 4 improvement. How do u become a good player? It's simple, as long as u r willing to put in hardwork. If ur basics r not up to standard, u jolly well go back to the basic stage n improve on ur foundation! Ur knowledge of music is far frm good. Even mine is not anywhere near to good. Don even mention abt slacking. Ppl frm other bands don even dare to slack.

How was o lvl results, HMT students? Mine was not very good. LOL:)
Anw, i found sth on youtube. A piece we played b4. although the sound quality is not very good, it's still worth to watch. Esp frm 3.50 to 3.56. Simply cool. He threw it sky high. Gimmicks were quite well done i guess. LOLSS. Anw it's juz sth to keep the blog alive.

Wednesday 6 January:Muster Parade rehearsal for UG groups and PERCUSSION SECTION
Friday 8 January:Muster Parade rehearsal for UG groups and WHOLE BAND.
Why is the time not given?You have to be prepared for everything.So please treasure your time tomorrow.The songs we are playing in the Muster parade is not confirmed yet,yeah you'll know.

Anyway I want to apologize to the entire band for being late today for the Majulah and having my other percussionists to carry the stuff by themselves.I promise that such a thing will not happen again and I will serve my punishment.

First of all, HAPPY 2010!!! :D My wish 4 the band is tat we can produce better sound in this year and obtain better results. I wish tat all of u will have more initiative n pay more attention to ur sectionals and full band time. If u dunno anything, ASK! And i also wish tat, more Sec 1s will join the band!!! :)

Secondly, i wanna thank all of u 4 being cooperative n making the band camp a huge success! :) I m certain that every1 enjoyed themselves rite? Cos it was planned by the Admins! So, LETS GIVE THE ADMINS A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE! *clapssss* People of year 1994, welcome to Sec 4 life =.= This is our year of glory or failure... Work hard! :) Sec 3s this will be your most enjoyable year. Some call this the failing year, others call it the opportunity year. This year, some of u may fail many of ur class test. But, nvr give up! Everything will juz turn out fine. Also, Carpe diem! Meaning seize every opportunity u have, regardless of goin overseas or any YFC chances, or juz showing the people frm other countries around singapore! Enjoy this year cos when u go to sec 4, u wont have anymore chance to do it. This is the year u become seniors n lead the band. Give ur juniors specific instructions n no slacking as much. Always rmb tat a lot more r expected from u all! :) Sec 2s this is the real start of ur band life. This year, many of u will make drastic improvements in ur playing skills. Juz listen during full band! Listen to who is playing the melody, harmony, bass, and think carefully the volume u shld play at. Know when to bring ur parts out. Always settle ur rhythm problems first using a metronome n drawing the box. Then procceed on to ur notes. Fing n Sing, then Tongue n Sing. After tat, u work on ur sound, dynamics, articulations. Follow instructions n u will certainly improve trememdously! Listen to ur seniors and stop slacking! All of u have the potential in u. It is juz if u wanna unleash it or not. Once again, an extremely huge thank you to all of u 4 makin the band camp a success! Three cheers and three cheers and three cheers for Band camp! Hip Hip, Hurray! Hip Hip Hurray! Hip Hip Hurray! WOOOOOO~~!! BAND ROX! :D
